Junk or trash in a neighbors yard?

Were you aware that having things in ones yard (that do not belong there) can cost some very hefty fines in the City of Tulsa?

You might wish to  first share this post with neighbors who are not in compliance and explain that you don't want them to be fined. If that doesn't work information at the bottom tells how to report the problem.

Don't wait for someone else to report what might become a health hazard!

WE ALL NEED TO BE AWARE OF THIS ONE:
Garbage cans which aren't flytight* or which are kept or stored within 12 feet of a curb for longer than 24 hours are also a nuisance (101.B. 16)

That means that it could cost a fine of not more than ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00), excluding costs, fees and assessments, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not more than ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Ord. Nos. 17942,21596,21954

*So, if you have a trashcan without a lid or if it does not fit down securely, keep it in your garage, and NEVER set it out.  This is a good reminder  to bring the cans back to the house as quickly as we can and don't set them out too early.
