HOMEOWNERS AND LANDLORDS CAN BE FINED!




Criminal Penalties up to $1,000 per day fine and/or imprisonment in the Tulsa jail for any person who permits the continuation of any nuisance by himself or others shall be guilty. (Section 106 of Title 24 - Nuisances TITLE 24 NUISANCES CHAPTER 1. CHAPTER . Also see Ord 17942, 21596, 21954

 A public nuisance consists of unlawfully doing an act or omitting to perform a duty, which act or omission:

  • annoys, injures or endangers the safety, health, comfort or repose of others;
  • offends public decency
  • in any way renders other persons insecure in life or in the use of property

101 Nuisances Affecting Health

  • Offensive trades and business not authorized by the Board of Health as provided by law.
  •  all public exposure of persons having contagious or infectious diseases.

102 Nuisances Offending Decency includes Bawdy houses (places kept for purposes of prostitution).

105 Reporting - If it involves illegal activity--drugs, prostitution-- immediately report it to the police dept. if and when you see something going on.You may also call the police and ask for investigative services.

TAKE ACTION: Every single person who cares about their family needs to step up and take responsibility instead of waiting around expecting someone else to help keep them safe!  (What happens if those who have always done if for you get tired of not getting any help and simply quit doing it??)
